Past days gathering : making the walls DAY 2

As sun was rising on the second day, work went on in Doma.
二日目の日が昇り、土間の家ワークショップ再開。

The team had been reduced a bit for the morning tasks, thus we mainly fostered on waving the bamboo grid and adding horizontal elements.
前日夜までの作業で二日目朝の作業が減ったので、主に竹の構造体にを編んで水平方向の部材を入れることに集中できました。

The finished work was really giving a nice atmosphere to the entire house.
竹組が完成すると、何ともいえない良い雰囲気が家全体を包みました。

After explaining the project to visitors, it was time to get back to work, the mud was carried and the wall started to appear.
二日目からのお手伝いのみんなに説明を終えて、いざ仕事に。
土は運ばれ、塗られ、徐々に壁ができていきます。

As you can see the aspect of the wall is very organic,the straw giving to it a peculiar texture.
観てお判りの通り土壁の面はとても有機的で、土に混ぜたスサが独特の質感を醸し出します。

By the end of the day the first layer was complete on one side.
二日目の終わりには、片側からの塗りは完了しました！

And you could see how the mud gets into the grid on the other side.
We keep these walls about a week until they get dry, and will make on another side.
反対側から観ると、竹の構造に土がよく定着しているのがわかります。
約一週間この壁が乾くのを待ち、反対側からも塗ります。
